Dental Crowns
Dental crowns work wonders on teeth that are weak, broken, or mismatched because of improper shape or color. A tooth crown can also cover other dental work in order to give your smile a fresh, even look. They come in a couple of different materials, but the most popular is porcelain. Porcelain crowns come closest to matching the color and luster of your original teeth.
To place a tooth crown, we will reshape your original tooth by filing it down. Then, we’ll take impressions of your teeth so your crown will be the perfect fit. Building the crown can take a few weeks, but you’ll be given a temporary one to wear in the meantime. At your final appointment, your personalized permanent crown will be fused into place.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are primarily used to fill in the gaps from multiple adjacent missing teeth. They can be anchored to natural teeth or to dental implants. Traditional dental bridges are connected to two natural teeth on either side of the gap, with the gap filled in by the replacement tooth or teeth.
As we would when making a crown, we’ll prepare your teeth for the bridges by reshaping them and taking impressions. Then, after a couple of weeks or so, your permanent bridges will be ready for installation.
